Well 3 days ago i decided to torrent MW3 and took me about 3 days. It did not bother me how long it took to download, but recently my Dad got a email from Comcast saying this:

Dear Comcast High-Speed Internet Subscriber:

Comcast has received a notification by a copyright owner, or its authorized agent, reporting an alleged infringement of one or more copyrighted works made on or over Comcast's High-Speed Internet service (the 'Service'). I think i've learned my lesson to be careful when torrenting stuff. This is just a heads up for anyone who thinks they wont get caught torrenting MW3 or anything.

Comcast will get you. I saw some guy in Seattle on youtube that downloaded 1000s of movies a week(i don't even know 100 movies lol), and received 5 of those letters. You won't get into serious trouble real quick, your isp cannot give out your personal info, unless it was like a court order or sumthing..

Back in the days of DSL I used torrents for everything but when I made the switch to comcast cable I received two of those emails and one letter. Since then I stopped using torrents and now only use sites like megau#l0@d or f1l3sonic for all my downloading needs and I have not received any other emails/letter from comcast about my questionable downloads, maybe you should do the same since they are tracking your torrents.

hmmm.... Do they tell that ur torrenting through bandwith usage? My friend said that one dude in college torrented and was fined 60 dollars for a 20 dollar game. They found out when the other computers that are using the same dsl wirelessly getting slower.... So he got fined.... I feel sad for that dude. But you shouldn't rly torrent....... who would........ Does utorrent do that?

I've torrented every Battlefield and CoD. I also have torrented a couple hundred thousand songs, over 200 movies, and other games. I was never caught. You need to learn what sites to use and how to set up your torrenting client to hide your ass.
