Can't move mouse in MP.

I can't play multiplayer. When I open multiplayer the ingame cursor doesn't show. I can see and move my windows cursor, but that wont help with anything. I look all over google and I found out that I am not the only one with this problem. Lots of people have it and I found three fixes for it.
1. Go into settings with keyboard and change resolution to 640x400 and back to what ever.
Doesn't work for me, because the game crashes. I can edit settings in the config.cfg, but not ingame.

2. Re-install windows.
(I dont know if I'm allowed to post that link. If not then remove it.)
I am not going to reinstall windows.

3. Run iw5mp.exe in win xp sp3 compatibility mode.
I have XP, so I can't run it in XP compatibility mode.

I bougth mw3 and have it on steam.
SP runs fine. I only have problems in MP.
I have Win XP 32bit and the guy in the link had Win 7.
The mouse can't move, but if I get into a match I can shoot and zoom, so there is nothing wrong with the wireless mouse connection.
I have a Logitech mouse, but I read about lots of people with this problems and they all had different mouses.

Problems:
Mouse doesn't work ingame.
Game crashes when changing settings.
Game crashes when I go to desktop and resume the game.

If you know anything about this problem then please tell me.

I had a similar problem -> my mouse freezes after 1-2 seconds after i start mw3 mp
found out that xfire somehow fucks it up ... disabled xfire and the problem was solved

I don't have xfire and the problem isn't that it freezes. The ingame cursor never appears.

I know because the mouse moves and responds fine. The ingame cursor just never shows up. I can see and move the windows cursor, but that has no effect on the game.

I am not going to install or re install some OS.
I am installing MW3 on my laptop right now, and I guess that will have to do until a patch is released.

Thats not going to help. The problem was there when i had the default config, so why should it help to go back to it?
Ill try anyway.
