I recently bought a volume at book festival a couple of weeks ago. I found it decent to read might buy more (this copy was like 3,5 bucks couldnt leave it behind like the 20 other's (other series mainly tsubasa)

Well i own about half of the 38 volumes.
I'd say considering the starting point, the series is pretty good. The anime was really weird in comparison though.
In perspective though, the powers are pretty interesting in themselves as is the art. The online scans really don't do it justice. Kinda like gantz.

yeah i based almost all my recent manga on art's, and decent battles if i can notice them. i did have 1 miss purchase maybe it was the manga of Negima!, i didnt know there where 2 versions. this one was based on the anime.

Oh god, the anime was......so weird. The manga was a magic quest or w/e. The anime was some sort of half-assed fanservice.
I mean the action is decent enough(at least fairy tale level) that it could have made a decent shonen. But the anime turned out to be some sort of creepy non-magic-adventure snore fest.
