    So I have a tower

But it has jack shit, like 700mb ram 60gb hdd 128mb gfx
from these pics, would it be worth it to keep the tower and just get some parts for it?

parts must be from NZ as well

Money is a really big issue
I'm looking for something around 4gb ram 500gb hd and 1gb gfx i3/i5
I don't know much so correct me if that's all retarded
The cheapest possible as well, but I want it to still work nicely
If you got some parts down, what's the best game it can run at what settings?

I don't see why you can't find those parts yourself.

Looks like a hella old build, I doubt there's much you can salvage from it. The chipset / cpu / ram is probs hella old and useless, the psu too weak and the HDD / GPU look downright sucky. Imo you should just go for a totally new build, if you link me to some NZ stores or search engines and gimme your budget (w/o shipping) I can try to make a suggested build

Price spy would probably be the better option to look for cheaper prices, but it isn't always accurate

Don't really have a budget but defo under $1000NZD

If you're 'willing' to spend a little over $950 USD you can get yourself quite a nice (budget game) PC.
(These are prices I found on Dutch websites, mainly because I couldn't find all parts I had in mind on your website but you could find something similar)

    Code:
    Processors: AMD Athlon II X3 450 € 75,09
    CPU-cooler: Cooler Master Hyper TX3 € 22,00
    RAM: 2x 8 GB (2x 2 GB) DDR3-1333 / 1600 € 63,80
    Motherboard:	ASUS M5A97 Pro € 100,13
    Videocard: XFX Radeon HD 6870 Black Edition V2 1GB € 168,95
    HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB (SATA3) € 199,77
    PSU: Nexus RX-5300 Modular 530W € 78,20

    Total: € 707,94 ($ 957,20)

Dunno what's shipping like in NZ, if you need to save money just get the 6850 instead of the 6950.

Thanks, how big is the difference between the 850 and 950?
Performance wise, would it mean I would have to play on lower settings?

Depending on the game, yeah. This is a fps benchmark from Anno 1404 @ 1920*1200 max settings:

but the 850 would run games like L4D2 and BC2 easily on the highest settings though?

I don't think L4D2 would be a problem if you're using preset gfx settings, BC2 should get around 40-ish fps on maxed out quality @ 1920*1200.

Yuppers, always does (at least when the gpu is the limiting factor, as is in most cases).

    you're much better than google
Could you guess what settings that build with the 6850 with a 19" monitor it would run skyrim at?
