Tbh I can't really imagine needing 33% more bandwidth and size, though the north bridge (or actually the fact that it's ever more lacking since they're transitioning to faster, direct to cpu stuff) is the main advantage imo.

Well for me the only plus for opting for 2011 is purely aesthetics. Real world performance of the motherboards doesn't show much difference other than the fact that the new designs is optimized for overclocking. But for the extra $600 you need just for a 3930K just isn't worth it, especially when a 2600K can come within 10% of its performance for less then 50% of the price. Me thinks I'll wait to see what the 3820 can offer.
