I think he would need more GRAM actually, I had 6 gigs of DDR3 RAM and I still lagged with hacks, my GPU sucked though, got a new GPU with more RAM and problem solved. Hopefully it's easier than that for him though

    Either variety.

Although, I think GRAM has more to do with your screen resolution & eyefinity if you're doing that.

True, my lag was a result of the screen not being able to update properly at 65 Hz, when it should have been able to do fine at 75, which was more obviously an issue with my Gfx card. I would need to conclude that this person just doesn't have a strong enough computer in general. There are ways to make the hacks lag less even with just 2 gigs of DDR2 RAM (I pulled it off by raising the page-file and cleaning my whole computer out of any junk).

To the OP: Try cleaning your computer of any junk folders or files, anything unnecessary, make sure everything on your computer is up-to-date system-specific, and raise your page-file specifications to about 3 or 4 gigs.

I have 2GB of ram on Windows 7 Ultimate; I can run hacks without lag because I have a 4GB thumb drive plugged in w/ ReadyBoost used for the paging file.

That actually makes a lot of sense It's strange how something running with such a limited transfer speed can so easily be used for RAM.

Plug in a thumb drive and use it as a paging file.
