Oh i like ron paul. And if he's on the ballot, will vote.
Really sad he keeps getting cut off. I mean just because he doesn't do stupid shit like sex scandals and say "oops" and lose his campaign, he gets no media focus.
I'm voting for Ron Paul. Who will (or would) you vote for in 2012?
OHH, and FUCK THE MEDIA!

Hes aginst the status quo, and i think its a collab effort to keep him out of office, but the internet is a powerful thing

You guys are aware that Ron Paul seems to love the idea of reintroducing religion into the state, right? So much for any separation...

Oh my turn!
"You know, this is an atheism board, not a political board. Obviously, there will always be some overlap, but the majority of the criticisms you provided have nothing to do with atheism/religion. The only one that has anything to do with this board is the point about separation of church and state. Given that Ron Paul's core philosophies involve limiting government in as many ways as possible, I cannot imagine him introducing legislation that would increase the government's scope in order to promote religion. You're either mistaken, or just trying to be deceitful.
Some of the other points you make may or may not be true, but they have nothing to do with atheism.
I just read the text of the HR 7955 Bill the OP mentions. As I suspected, the vast majority of the bill was talking about limiting the federal government's role. Feel free to agree/disagree with that stance, but that has nothing to do with atheism/religion. A quick summary is below:
Date proposed: August 19th, 1980. (Yes, this is over 31 years old now). The bill never went anywhere.
Title 1: Abolishes the Department of Education.
Title 2: Deals with the Social Security Act and taxation of benefits.
Title 3: Basically says federal government should have no say whatsoever in the operations of daycares, orphanages, drug abuse treatment centers, etc. The states would retain this power.
Title 4: Exclusively deals with taxation."
Reddit.
And yeah, posting links that have pages of disagreements makes a bit easier for us.
Wait, just because it doesn't deal with religion it doesn't make it bad? Also the image / first link are quite fun, aren't they? Also goes to show what kind of things he supports, fancy. Cbf to have this discussion, evidently we'll get nowhere as is traditional for MPGH debates.

The pic i found hilarious.

Ron paul is really more about limiting the government. He might have a few odd stances, but for the most part he's centered on the government.
I'd at least like to see him be the front runner or something for once, instead of these jackoffs like cane or perry.
I've been a fan of Paul for a long time.
I don't agree with his stance on Roe VS. Wade..
but hey we aren't going to find the perfect politician.
Should we audit the fed? Yes
Should we stop wiping our asses with the Constitution? Yes.
Should we pull our troops out of the Middle East, in turn saving lives and trillions of dollars? Yes
Should we Regulate corporate banking? Yes.
I can go on, but these are the real issues that need to be approached,
and he's been trying to do it for years.
Obviously he won't ever get the media coverage he deserves, because this Country is ran by crooks.
Sadly, Ron won't ever see office.
Ron Paul is easily the best Republican candidate for president. /fp
If this ****** Perry comes anywhere near an election, I will .
Herman Cain = /fp
Romney =
Perry can't win, cain deffinitely out. Romney.......maybe. He won't get the black vote though.
Honestly Ron Paul is the only contender i actually see.
