Why do people always have to turn an open debate around and try to make it sound like a personal attack? I'm just saying that in the real world, employers looking for "real developers" generally won't look themselves, they'll notify people that job positions are available and go through the regular means of employment to get a "real developer".
If people are looking for a set of GUI components, they are more likely to look for a site (such a Telerik) which is the official domain of the set of controls owned and produced by Telerik. For most people, GUI design is supposed to be straightforward, they don't wanna ass around spending resources trying to track down a component on the internet then deal with possible proprietorship disputes. Again, I'm not saying this as an attack on you personally, just stating the obvious. No-one wants to get into a copyright war just because they found a 3rd party GUI component on the internet, purchased it from someone who claimed to be the owner, then used it in their app. Even if you advertise your components on various forums, having an official domain for the product is a big bonus.
