Who want's MGold(forum gold) to exist?

MPGH wouldn't buy back any FG. FG could only be earned through posting, or buying it directly. THere for increasing activity on the forum(more money for MPGH) or people buying FG(more money for MPGH)

And there we have our issue: MGold wouldn't be worth anything
In the end there's always going to be someone ending up with nothing (unless you can also spend them @ MPGH)

 

Member A sells 'xxx' for 150 MGold to member B.
Member B purchases 'xxx' for 90 MGold from member C, which leaves member B with 6 MGold.
Member B wants to purchase 'xxx' from member D next, but member D asks 100 MGold for it: so member B has to purchase another 10 MGold.

- The strategy: member B is 'forced' to either purchase 10 MGold, or sell something on MPGH for (atleast) 10 MGold (both maintain the MGold concept, +)

I agree. MGold (if it existed) should be able to buy things on the forum. THis would be it's inital intent, as it would take a little time to cetch on in-game. Much like the "exp shop" you mentioned, but after MGold gets established in a gaming community as a reliable currency to liquidate items into, then the BIG money rolls in from kids wanting to get "rich" "in-game".

I doubt it, as it would take a decent ammount of Dave's time to set up, but if he wanted to expand a little bit... Maybe throw a couple extra green backs in his pocket...

The forum I mentioned earlier which has Forum Gold is much more of a market-based forum than MPGH is, we'd really need to expand our Marketplace activity before this even stands a chance. Do need ideas.

Oh, no I agree with you. The only place we differ is when MGold should be introduced. (I think) You think that MGold only stands a chance after an enhanced market place. I think that forum gold would be the enhancement needed.

As I said before, it should be earned through posting initally. FG would be for MPGH use only ei: tital changes, name colors ect.(other then the MPGHieans that trade with it amongst themselfs). But after it's a known currency in the gaming world, then it will sell, and people will line up posts in there respective games trying to trade using the currency.

I agree with Alen, once it could start, the amount of FG would increase and it would be less and less rare. I think this is a terrible and eventually, FG could be worth little to none of what it could have been before

Because then it would make it worth a bit more atleast

I've seen forum gold become very successful on a few diffrent game related forums, and the thing I noticed the most is, the more traffic, the more value the currency has. MPGH gets a lot of traffic, and the value would be dictated by the ammount it was chosen to be sold for, and the ammount of post it takes to earn 1fg along with the ammount of traffic(popularitly).

An example would be .01 fg per post. It would take 100 posts to earn 1fg. If you do not break the rules and spam, 100 posts takes some time. Time=money
