I opened my crates, and got a strange black box and a strange sydney sleeper (both worth nothing).
My friend got a strange machina and an unusual hat (both worth tons).

My other friend needed money, and he had about 500 keys in his backpack (don't ask me how, but he got all of them for free), so I chipped in like $4 ($2 per key).

It wasn't a salvaged, it was just a regular crate. He got a strange gunslinger from the salvaged /.
The effect was "Blizzardy", and the hat is the demoman's fro.

Strange Machina only comes from Salvaged Crates afaik. funny because I opened two Salvaged crates and I got the same item of your friend.

About the effect isn't so bad, better than Flies/Nuts n' Bolts/shitty logos.
