This is probably the right place to post this, hopefully someone will see it

My question is, what exactly does PBSS do? I noticed everytime I leave a server in what ever game I'm playing "Zone Alarm" my preferred fire wall program alerts me that PunkBuster B is trying to connect to the internet. Does pbss only prevent that connection. Secondly what does PnkBster want to connect after each match for?

lol there is 2 files PnkBstr.A and PnkBstr.B,
PnkBstr.A is the primary file what it does is scans all your files to see if they were injected into the game witch means if i have an old detected hack on my desktop that i injected into BFH then it scans my desktop finds that hack finds the hack injected in the game and kicks me it also needs internet access so that it can check the detected hack of, well hacks they have detected
PnkBstr.B is simple just the back up
if PnkBstr.A stops working then PnkBstr.B kicks in if that stops working this is where you get the
LOSEING KEY PACKETS* witch means PnkBstr.A and PnkBstr.B are both not working
