HELP INSTALL WINDOWS

Okay, well im trying to isntall windows 7 or windows XP... I have an external HDD and thats all... I've tried the USB flash methods (because its the same thing) and i keep getting MISSING NTLDR error... I tried stright upp copying a HDD with everything on it, and same prob... If i try installing XP (from my disc) onto the EXT HDD itll give me the Blue Screen Error. With windows 7 disc it says it cannot be isntalled onto a usb... can you guys help a bro out? Thanks.

Are you trying to install to the external HDD or from it? And if it's the first, expect shitty performance, if it's the latter: Install Windows 7 From an External Hard Drive | PCWorld. Should work with any version of 7, disregard the fact that it's for the RC.

Im trying to use it as a normal HD, with windows on it, and you know, like an internal hd.
