I would recommend avoiding Benchmade and Spyderco, several friends have bought their knives before and been really disappointed by the quality. Cold steel is a great company though, I would suggest also investing in SOG products. They are my favorite never had one break or chip or bend, no blade-play, just wonderful quality.

Don't know about SOG. Benchmade and Spyderco are great. I have a few spyders, and even my $30 tenacious made in China is top notch. A few friends have benchmades and their great. All American made.

here in new zealand its summer and im away for a couple of weeks on holiday with my family thinking its going to be awesome... i got a brand new top of the line speargun worth $400 and on the first dive the metal bit to hook into the spear breaks... manage to fix it and the next day the opposite site breaks . and today i was on the beach with parents and i was trying to get some photos of me jumping off sand dunes and i landed funny and almost snapped both my shins sore as hell now and im still away for another 1 and a half weeks at least i have my lappy here -_-
