Yes but right now AMD recently released a new graphics card, 7970, which is pretty much the best single GPU card out there.
AMD's stuff are cheaper and bang for your buck.

So you're saying that this Alternate thing is pretty much the same as the Alienware x51 (The premade PC that is)

The Alienware x51 though has an i7 processor, the Hercules here only has an 1.5

On the other hand the Alienware has a GTX 550 and the Hercules a GTX 560..


Then my question is, if you buy this Hercules, and replace the i5 processor with an i7 processor, will it make difference? I mean, the budget will stay around 1100 then. Then it's pretty much the alien ware but with a GTX 560

Whatever you build yourself > the Hercules > Alienware. The difference between the 2500K and 2600K is minimal when talking about gaming and non-existent when talking about normal work. Buying the Hercules and switching parts is pointless, if you want to build a PC do it properly - from scratch. I dunno what you're doing picking two gfx cards, within that price range I recommend you stick to a single card, preferably the 560 Ti if you want to save a bit of money or the 580 / 7970 if you want the best. I definitely recommend a 600W+ psu too and a decent case, such components can really heat up (for the more mainstream "gaming" looks go for an Antec Eleven Hundred, for something better but plainer Fractal Design's Core 3000).

With that kind of money you definitely should stop looking at 5.4k rpm disks and even 7.2k rpm disks (I recommend something like Samsung's Spinpoint F3 or WD's Caviar Black) should serve as backups / data storage rather than primary ones - you can easily get an SSD (Crucial m4 / Patriot Pyro SE are good choices). Don't forget the ram either (if you have the money get something like 1600MHz CL8 with low voltages (OC ftw?), otherwise some normal 1600MHz CL9. I recommend you grab a decent CPU cooler if you're getting the unlocked version of the CPU, should really aid with OCing (Noctua's NH-D14 is an awesome already combined set, Prolimatech's Megahalems is downright epic when combined with good fans, just like the Tuniq Tower 120 or w/e it's called; you might even consider something like Corsair's H100 set).

Don't forget a decent P67 board either.

Depends on a lot of things, such as what games you want to play, what kind of features you need etc. Overall I definitely prefer Nvidia because they don't fuck stuff up and there's way more stuff you can do with em, but the average gamer is most likely better off with what's cheaper.

Mobo: any decent P67 board
CPU: i5 2500K (i7 2600K if you really want it, doubt you'll ever need it)
CPU cooler: Noctua NH-D14 / Prolimatech Megahalems / Tuniq Tower 120 + 2 of the best fans you can get / Corsair H100
Ram: 2x4GB or 4x4GB of 1600MHz CL8 or CL9 ram (Cl8 is preferred)
Gfx: GTX 580 / HD 7970
PSU: anything >600W that's decent
Case: Antec Eleven Hundred (fancy stuff), Fractal Design Core 3000 (epic, plainer stuff)

Depending on how much amps, I'm sure 650w is recommend for 580

Lose the 580 / 7970 for a 560 Ti or 6950, get a budget board like the MSI P67A-C43, don't get the cpu cooler and get 1600MHz CL9 ram.

Nope, looks like you have everything you need. The mobo is kinda overpriced imo and doesn't really offer any advantages of any other gaming-grade mobo from GA or MSI, both which can come quite cheaper.
