How to bot with AutoIt

Hi, i am fairly new to this and im wondering how to use autoit program to bot. I have downloaded everything that is neccesary for me to use this method. LUA, console that was i was directed to download... I've bound all my bindings and everything is working fine; However, when i turn on the autoit script and press start after i pressed F11 to bind... nothing works. Anyone able to help? It would be greatly appreciated.
