If you can overclock your graphics card. There has been problems with BF3 from factory overclocked cards but doing it yourself should be fine.

Only way to get better FPS is upgrading your GPU+ CPU ( if you have under 4GB ram try to get 4GB ram )

try to lower your resolution

Blader please stop isleading. You can overclock the cpu and gpu to get more performance. Get a better cooler and overclock more. I can go on but you need to stop misleading people with information that is not always correct.
On a second note try enabling vsync. It limits your fps to 60 so it doesn't need to push the gpu so hard.
