First time it happened to me too. Then I tried again and it worked.

1. Open MW3
2. Go to Barracks
3. Minimize MW3 and open the hack
4. Select what you want and press Hack Stats
5. Close the hack
6. Go back to MW3 and play 1 match and it will be saved

Note: The upper bar is to choose the level you want to be, the lower bar is for the prestige you want to be.

You need to choose both lvl and prestige!

Just select lvl 79 instead of 80, it'll get you to the point where you can prestige again.
