    Rez Files and what they do, UPDATED ON 2/26/11

    The thread thats here is about 2.5years out of date. This is a thread that i'm making from scratch to tell you what they REALLY do

    Key
    * = not of big modding importance/texture modding
    ** = can do some stuff with this rez
    *** = this messes up the game and gives you a big advantage


    Attach_M.rez*: This rez file holds the model files for attachments to guns such as scopes and silencers
    Attach_T.rez*: This rez file holds the textures for Attach_m.rez
    Attributes.rez*: The unmoddable rez file. This houses all the main information the game needs for EVERYTHING. Gun ammo amount to the NPC's Brains.
    CHARS_M_BODY.rez***: This houses the character models, Child Models, and Vests. Jump Key and glitch key can be made here.
    CHARS_M_FACE.rez*: This just houses the face models of the different characters.
    CHARS_M_Head.rez*: This houses the heads of the characters
    CHARS_SND.rez*: This rez file holds the sound files for characters like what they say in game.
    Chars_t_body.rez**: This holds the textures for the main body of characters. Mini-Chams are usually made here
    Chars_t_face.rez**: holds the textures for the faces of characters
    Chars_t_hand.rez**: holds the textures of the different characters hands
    Chars_t_head.rez**: holds the textures for the characters heads
    ClanMark0.rez*: Just holds the textures that clans make for their logos.
    Classicons.rez*: This just has the icons for ranks
    ClientFx.rez**: This tells the game how to play special effects. Can do some cool stuff here
    Fonts.rez*: This holds the font for the in game text
    FX.rez**: Houses all the textures/models for the different special effects. Some good mods come from here
    GMS.rez***: This holds the different game types information. God Mode and Infinite Ammo rez mod can come from here.
    Guns_m_hh.rez***: This holds all the on-map and in-hand gun models. The original Long-Range-Pickup Mod came from here
    Guns_m_pv_ar.rez**: Holds the PV and Ani's of the gun models of the Assult Rifles. Unlimited ammo possible but hard here
    Guns_m_pv_etc.rez**: Has all the random items that don't really fit a gun catagory
    Guns_m_pv_launcher.rez**: holds the pv and ani's of the different rocket launchers and such
    Guns_m_pv_melee.rez***: Holds the pv and ani's of the knives. Super knife comes in to play here
    Guns_m_pv_mg.rez**: Holds all the pv's and ani's of the MG's
    Guns_m_pv_option.rez**: Holds some scope models and such
    guns_m_pv_pistol.rez**: holds the pv and ani's of the pistols
    guns_m_pv_sg.rez**: Holds the pv and ani's of the SG's
    guns_m_pv_smg.rez**: holds the pv and ani's of the SMG's
    guns_m_pv_sr.rez**: holds the pv and ani's of the Sniper rifles
    guns_m_pv_throwing.rez**: holds pv's and ani's of mines/grenades
    guns_m_ui.rez*: This is an empty rez file, reason for it unknown
    guns_pt.rez*: holds the on-map model's/textures of mines and grenades
    Guns_sc.rez*: these are the bullet models/textures
    guns_snd_ar.rez*: holds the sound files for this gun type
    guns_snd_etc.rez*: holds the sound files for this gun type
    guns_snd_impacts.rez*: Sound files for the sounds of bullets hitting things
    guns_snd_launcher.rez*: holds the sound files for this gun type
    guns_snd_melee.rez*: holds the sound files for this gun type
    guns_snd_mg.rez*: holds the sound files for this gun type
    guns_snd_option.rez*: holds the sounds for different parts of guns
    guns_snd_pistol.rez*: holds the sound files for this gun type
    guns_snd_sg.rez*: holds the sound files for this gun type
    guns_snd_shells.rez*: holds the sounds for when a bullet is popped out of a gun after firing
    guns_snd_smg.rez*: holds the sound files for this gun type
    guns_snd_sr.rez*: holds the sound files for this gun type
    guns_snd_throwing.rez*: holds the sound files for this gun type
    guns_t_hh.rez*: Holds the textures for the HH models
    guns_t_pv_ar.rez*: holds the textures for this guns type
    guns_t_pv_etc.rez*: holds the textures for this guns type
    guns_t_pv_hand.rez*: holds the textures for the hands on the gun
    guns_t_pv_launcher.rez*: holds the textures for this guns type
    guns_t_pv_melee.rez*: holds the textures for this guns type
    guns_t_pv_mg.rez*: holds the textures for this guns type
    guns_t_pv_option.rez* holds textures for different options for the guns
    guns_t_pv_pistol.rez*: holds the textures for this guns type
    guns_t_pv_sg.rez*: holds the textures for this guns type
    guns_t_pv_smg.rez*: holds the textures for this guns type
    guns_t_pv_sr.rez*: holds the textures for this guns type
    guns_t_pv_throwing.rez*: holds the textures for this guns type
    gunsmith_npc.rez*: Just the model for the Gun Emporium guy
    Logo.rez*: just holds the texture for CA/nexon logos
    models.rez*: holds some random models that aren't really needed
    prefabs.rez*: empty rez file. Would normally house different objects you would see on map such as doors and small buildings
    props.rez***: holds the different models/textures for different pick-up-able items in game. Papa Box Pickup and such came from here
    ps.rez*: just some photo filters
    RS.rez***: Render Styles. Controls how the light bounces off models. Chams/Wallhack are made here
    Shaders.rez***: holds the different shader FX files. If you know FX coding, you can do some damage here. Ex: Zoom hack, Sobel Filtering
    SND.rez*: houses random sound files for the game
    sprites.rez*: just some random textures in the game
    texfx.rez*: just some random sprite/textures for weather
    textureeffectgroups.rez*: empty rez that doesn't really do anything
    textures.rez**: houses all the textures for maps and different models that would normally be found in Prefabs
    Texturescripts.rez*: Holds the script files that control on the SkyBox works
    ui_hud_character.rez*: This is just textures for parts of the heads up display in game
    ui_hud_common.rez*: This is just textures for parts of the heads up display in game
    ui_hud_indicator.rez*: This is just textures for parts of the heads up display in game
    ui_hud_killcam.rez*: This is just textures for parts of the heads up display in game
    ui_hud_map.rez*: This is just textures for parts of the heads up display in game
    ui_hud_message.rez*: This is just textures for parts of the heads up display in game
    ui_hud_radarmap.rez*: This is just textures for parts of the heads up display in game
    ui_hud_scoreboard.rez*: This is just textures for parts of the heads up display in game
    ui_hud_weapon.rez*: This is just textures for parts of the heads up display in game
    ui_scr_clan.rez*: just a bunch of sprites for the HUD
    ui_scr_common.rez*: just a bunch of sprites for the HUD
    ui_scr_create.rez*: just a bunch of sprites for the HUD
    ui_scr_gameroom.rez*: just a bunch of sprites for the game servers
    ui_scr_gunsmith.rez*: just a bunch of sprites for the gun emporium
    ui_scr_inventory.rez*: just a bunch of sprites for the inventory
    ui_scr_itemimage.rez*: just a bunch of sprites for the inventory items
    ui_scr_loading.rez*: just a bunch of sprites for the loading screens
    ui_scr_lobby.rez*: just a bunch of sprites for the lobby
    ui_scr_messenger.rez*: just a bunch of sprites for the in game messenger
    ui_scr_modification.rez*: just a bunch of sprites for the gun emporium
    ui_scr_popup.rez*: just a bunch of sprites for the HUD
    ui_scr_result.rez*: just a bunch of sprites for the end of a game results
    ui_scr_serverlist.rez*: just a bunch of sprites for the servers list
    ui_scr_shops.rez*: just a bunch of sprites for the gun shop
    ui_snd.rez*: holds all the sound files for the UI sound fx
    Worlds.rez***: Houses the games maps. If you know what your doing, OPK, Zombies don't attack, Weapon spawn, all done here
    XML.rez*: no idea XP

    When i Extract it i Found That Maps Packed As DAT files i Want To Use Those Maps For Movie , i Have Every Char. & Weapon in Game AS 3D Files Except Maps And it's It's The Most Important Thing To Make a movie ( i can make it with Photoshop after effects But it will take alots of Time ) So Please if you know how to convert or extract DAT files To any Other Format ( x , 3ds , 4dc ,...... etc ) Please Tell Me and i will thank you a lot in The Movie

    what part of "STOP TRYING" do you think means yes? its possible, but u only get like half the map and even then u have to retexture it yourself which could take hours

    Texture is very easy against just get the maps files
