It's always a balance between quality and cost. The cheaper you go, the shittier the case (generally speaking). I don't think you need to get something too good for such a build, but just make sure you don't get something terribad either. Personally I don't know the "elite 430", but the cheapest I would ever go would be something around the Antec 300's rank.

The prices won't really drop drastically, if anything the cards will go out of production and you might see clearance sales. Your best bet would be to get a second-hand card if you want something truly cheap

anyways - i've majorly scrimped back and what not and it went from £550 to £500 to now £450

Personally I would try to get a newer mobo (the 870 is old, to say the least) and perhaps lose the 2x2GB of ram in favour of one 4GB stick (worth it if you ever want to upgrade in the future). Also note that the HDD isn't on stock and you might have to wait a while to get it. And, as always, I still stand by my claim that a DVD drive is redundant nowadays.

hmm.. but i looked into detail and i compared it to some other boards and they have some stuff i might not need, and they don't have the exact amount of USB 2.0 connectors, because i'm gonna get the Bit fenix shinobi and that has 4 USB 2.0s at the front - idrk about usb 3.0

tl;dr just don't get the board. You'll definitely want something decent if you ever plan on keeping this build at least partially up to date. At least get the newer version of it, based on the 970 chipset, if not even the 990x / 990fx. You definitely don't want anything less.

The 870 board has 4 usb 2.0s and the case matches exactly that..

x8+x8 crossfire, AM3+ support, better southbridge, if you get the 990x / 990fx you can get x8+x8 or x16+x16 crossfire/sli support too, along with a better southbridge. You'll want USB3 and SATA3, as SSDs are already catching up in terms of pricing and availability (100 pounds already gets you a decent SSD instead of a large HDD but yields shittons more performance), USB3 is becoming a standard now and without AM3+ you're done for in terms of CPU upgrades (though AMD is a bad choice to even begin with if you're looking for true future-proof CPU builds). Also can't hurt to support crossfire / sli in case you ever want more gfx power. Also better OCing, better management of everything, better everywhere.

It's a high chance i will never crossfire/sli, and i also doubt i will get an SSD...

hmm - i heard some people suggest the i3, but the thing about intel CPUs, they arn't like AMD CPUs where they do the AM2, AM3 system, they like do different chips for different CPUS e.g LG XXX - or what ever the fuck it is

Also, i'll only ever do mild/little over-clocking
