Damn, thats crazy. What procedures did teachers take as soon as they were informed that a lockdown had to be put in place?

Pre-Calculus. Five minutes after a girl left our class the school got called into lockdown. Roughly two hours after (Lockdown is over by now), the girl that left Pre-Calculus posted a link to CBC News on her Facebook which showed her getting interviewed after she had a pellet gun (which she thought was a real gun) pointed at her face.

Define "outside", because this incident happened at the front steps. It went from lockdown to lockout in 5 minutes.

Basically they just got all the nearest kids into the classroom, told them to shut up, locked the doors, closed the blinds.

I was worried that I would have to wait there for 6 hours like the lockdown 10 years ago. My science teacher told us about a lockdown in 2002.

Most I've ever had was a bomb threat on-campus at my highschool. I had to sit outside on the football field for three hours while the Bomb Squad searched the school. Some asshole with some half-assed explosives stuck them in the cooking room.

We had a lockdown once at our school before (I think it was last year or the year before?) where apparently some guy tried to rob a pharmacy and demanded cash but he left when one of the staff confronted him. There were rumors that he walked past or entered a nearby school. :S

EDIT - My mistake, it was a pharmacy, not a petrol station.
