    Finalizing my new PC Build

    Hey guys!

I just wanted to share my PC build, and I do have a few questions about it:

    I will defintley think it will look awesome, but I had a few questions;

    1) You think all these parts fit together? On the site I am buying the parts (ALTERNATE. Hardware - Software - Entertainment) they said they would fit. I let their customer support check into it

    2) Do you think this PC will run games like BF3 on high graphics? and if so, will it handle recording on high/lower graphics?

    3) Do you think the prize is right?

    4) What parts would you replace?

I mainly use my PC to game, record and render videos.
I mostly play games like Minecraft and TF2, but I also freaking love games like Battlefield 3, Crysis 2, Skyrim etc. Which for those games you obviously need some beast PC (except for Skyrim, it'll also run on decent PC's)

    Thanks in advance!

I would recomend you get a psu with more wattage. Some video cards take 400 watts of power on there own. so just to be safe go bigger. also isnt everything over priced here, 89 euros for home premium thats like 117 bucks. well whatever.

btw the video card cost 519 bucks here. look here Newegg.com - ASUS ENGTX580 DCII/2DIS/1536MD5 GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 1536MB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card its only 439.

Yes you can run BF3 on ultra, 1920 x 1080. The only concern is that you have to check your motherboards RAM compatibility list. The first time i build a PC (2008), i didn't know that there was a compatibility list, i ended up wasting $100 ending different RAM...

Just go on the Motherboard Website and check the RAM Compatibility list section.

Most cards dont even draw 300 watts, the recommended watts is for worse case scenario (12 hdd and etc.). On one of Linus Tech Tips videos he showed the true power draw of GPUs most of them didnt even draw 350 watts let alone 400. (Single GPU btw, double GPU different story)

Taxes are included, shipping costs: 9,45 euros per 10 KG

Ill check the RAM, and the graphics card is cheaper here..
Also this power supply should be good right?

Yes the Power Supply is good, if your thinking of doing a SLI in the future you need a 800watts PSU, or maybe 750watts. I am currently running 2 AMD 6950 crossfire with a Antec Earthwatt 750 watts.

A little stupid question: do you get a back panel protector for the USB and such? Or do you have to buy that

A probably even more stupid question: Can I already put DVD's in my PC or do I have to buy something for that xD

I see that the RAM and i7 2600k is a waste.

    Waste in what way?
I am not paying for this computer, and price doesn't matter. At all. These parts are good right? They might be a little overpriced but still.

EDIT: CHANGED RAM WITH DDR3-2133 RAM. Because that's suppOrted by the mobo and not the RAM in this screenshot

I don't think you'll ever need RAM speed up to 1600Mhz.
And why would you want i7 2600k?
You should go with i5 2500k.
100Mhz difference, which is nothing, plus it could be easily overclocked to over 4.4Ghz with a good cooler.
Plus are you gonna use Hyper Threading?
Do you even know what it's for?
You could save like at least 100 euros and get like something else.
Even though you're not paying for it, you could easily just add something else for around 100 euros.

    I second the above.
Though you're not paying, you should always try to get the best value...

I am not going to use Hyper Threading.
    Also, I just found this:
https://www.alternate.nl/html/produc...2600K/483760/? That is 279 euros for a quad core

but this ALTERNATE - HARDWARE - Processoren - Desktop - Socket AM3+ - AMD FX-8150 is 279 euros for a EIGHT core with even higher proccessing speed..

Ofcourse it's another socket, so you'd need another MOBO but I am kind of interested in it.
Probably not going to use it, but still, why is it so cheap..

Also still wondering if I need a DVD thingy for my PC to be able to put DVD's in, and if it's not already in there

    Basically, here are my choices
    Mobo+RAM+Proccessor
    ALTERNATE - HARDWARE - Processoren - Desktop - Socket AM3+ - AMD FX-8150
    with
    ALTERNATE - HARDWARE - Moederborden - AMD - Socket AM3+ - ASRock 970 Extreme3
    with
    https://www.alternate.nl/html/produc...3_Kit/554909/?

    OR

    ALTERNATE - HARDWARE - Processoren - Desktop - Socket 1155 - Intel® Core
    with
    ALTERNATE - HARDWARE - Moederborden - Intel - Socket 1155 - ASRock P67 PRO3 (B3)
    with
    https://www.alternate.nl/html/produc...3_Kit/554909/?

Graphic Cards (Really weird, the cheap one has more memory but the high priced one has more bits, help D: )
ALTERNATE - HARDWARE - Grafische kaarten - PCIe kaarten NVIDIA - GeForce GTX - MSI N580GTX Twin Frozr II/OC

    OR

ALTERNATE - HARDWARE - Grafische kaarten - PCIe kaarten NVIDIA - GeForce GTX - MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II 2GD5/OC
