You didn't said anything about pairing videocards in this thread.

What is the problem with it? I'm helping man to decide which parts he need to buy. And also, I wanted to buy a laptop, not a computer. Because I can't take computer anywhere I want.

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+ 2.61 GHz

    32-bit

Installed RAM: 4.00 GB (3.00 GB usable)

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT

So, as you can see, it's very old.

I am thinking of buying a Quad core + ATI Radeon 6850.

    Any suggestions?
I would say, get an I5 2500k, get either a GTX 680, and if you are low on budget go on a GTX 580 or a 6950, and try to get 8gb of ram

    lol a i5 2500K + GTX 680 = almost 700€/$ + the PSU it will be above 700€

Low budget: AMD quad core CPU ( phenom II series ) + AMD 6900/7800+ series or nvidia 560 TI+ / GTX 680

I can't afford the highest cards like 6900 etc. I've found a Radeon 6850 for an affordable price

Good choice but if you are planning on playing on 1080P i'd recommend you to atleast get the 6870

Not starting a console war but people say since he doesn't have enough money for a pc that can run bf3. A console can run it but cheaper which will allow him to play the game he wants to.

Yeah I think I will, it's not much more than the 6850.

So this is what i'm getting guys:

    CPU - AM3+ x4 FX-410 - $117

    MOTHERBOARD - Asus M5A99X-Evo - $144

    RAM - 8G Kit 1333 Patriot-S - $41

    GRAPHICS CARD - 1G 6850 Powercolor - $143

Can't afford much more than this as it's a birthday present. I'm hoping this runs BF3 on at least med settings smoothly. I also play Cod4 and i'm sure this will run that smoothly aswell. Can't wait!

If you want performance in games DO NOT buy AMD, AMD is more for video editing ect.
