Part 3: COMING SOON
Stick shift makes driving more fun cause you have complete control. On the other hand, its annoying when you're stuck in a traffic jam.
You must be american
naws just kidding, but you must be a piece of lazy-ass-shit, automatics are simply not the same as the good old manuals.
pretty high actually, once it's running...
1990's shell that's seen better days, costs me only £800 to insure when my peers are paying £1500+
Like I said Faster shifting != faster driving, just faster shifting and possibly acceleration
I was referring to the ability to corner faster with better driving though the ability to increase traction and thus cornering grip and speed...
also im pretty sure a 1990's M3 doesn't have SMG, no modern m3 is going to risk racing my rat look car in fear of me taking the side of their car out anyways
my car weights 750kgs with a full tank, running a 2L ztec s engine, with the injection system replaced with the throttle bodies from a yamaha R1
lightened and balanced flywheel, uprated cam shafts, bigger fuel pump, a shorter shifting custom ratio gear box based off that from an escort rs2000... powerflow straight though 3" exhaust with a 4-2-1 manifold
converted to disks all round from a ford mondeo, egc greenstuff pads, bilstein coil-over suspension.. front and rear torsion bars
not a "scrap yard junk car" as Attiusca liked to call it, and the engine is only on 34k miles
I just chose to spend £150 on my shell, instead of spending 6/7k on a newer car that's been abused by it's owner
and spend the savings on parts
(and thats before I manage to get my cosworth T4 turbo installed)

lol @ comparing ur shitty manual car to a 20 year old car. point proven, manual is outdated time to get out of ur 90s fairy tale land and buy an automatic. also I dont know what an SMG is but im pretty sure any BMW will destroy ur car (if it even makes it to the race track w/o falling apart because its a piece of crap you glued/taped together from junk yard parts, as u admitted in your own words) while still maintaining a much higher miles to getting pussy ratio.
its okay though you dont have to be upset.

4 parts, yet worth over £2k alone.. not the most expensive options, but the most I need to spend for the current set up as it's only a road car, if I spent more, I'd be looking at having to warm my brakes for them to work and upgrade my tires to let them even do their job.. and I already pay £120 a wheel atm
i can't be fucked to go into engine parts, because I'd need to find receipts.. because I didn't buy much off it online
but the fact is, automatics don't do shit..
you can't downshift, you can't push the car to it's limits cornering
if you want to control the gears you need
tiptronic / gear paddles... and they're not automatic transmission
their automatic clutches
yeah you can just slam your foot down in a drag in a auto..
but even then due to power to weight a 3.2L bmw m3 can't keep up with me in a straight line either
your looking at 1700 - 2000kgs weight in a M3 of any age
example 2008 BMW M3
414bhp
1700kgs
top speed 155mph
414 / 1300 == 0.318*
0.243 bhp per kg
My escort
weight 737.5kgs (Sports seats)
(more like 700 with 2 fiberglass seats)
227bhp (Last dyno, Limmited due to fuel mapping)
227 / 737.5kgs
0.307 bhp per kg

let me get this straight... you can't spell disc? dude thats like a 4 letter word. you know what, just keep driving manuals. you are clearly retarded and would have no idea how to handle an automatic. just make sure you stay in the right lane i wouldnt want your clunker to get in my way when im driving my superior automatic.
O B E Y
It was a typo, there are many
the post was long so I've been editing it once I put it up
your superior automatic?
no chance
My car's faster than an M3 though corners
and on paper, fucking close in a straight line
so what ever you've got, hasn't got a chance
I spent £5k on it so far including restoring the shell
WLC(West London Collective) march 2012
£5k for something to rival a M3, not bad imo
also, hardly looks like scrap now does it?
so stfu and gtfo

227 hp are you serious? thats less than a stock honda accord l0l. who even cares about speed id take a baller ass slow ass cadillac escalade over your hand made crap any day. nobody is talking about racing here I am just saying manual cars are stupid and you should get with the times. people who drive manuals are also lame, they are so pretentious and walk around like they are pro racecar drivers "omg i can corner fasturrr den urr m3 hurr". stop looking for excuses to drive an outdated and inefficient vehicle.

"stop looking for excuses to drive an outdated and inefficient vehicle." how is it outdated ? what do you think the auto cars you like come on ? Transport trucks are they auto yes some are but most are like 16 speed and shit why because its easier on the engine and helps transfer the weight and less stuff gets broke
