Its a good start. im not very good with vexeling but i think your shading is a little bit off
the teeth look pretty good, i can't wait to see the finished product. looks really good so far.

I did the teeth, then started rushing. Once I realized I was rushing I gave up for the day.

I don't think it's a good choice to go with realistic colours, they make the piece kind of boring.
Colours such as red, blue or magenta add more creativity and awesomeness.
I like where this is going though...
