IMMENSE pain

When I got up, I felt an immense pain in my ankle once I set my foot on the ground. It felt like there was an object put inside my foot, and everytime I try to walk on it, it gives me a hard time. Not only does it hurt like hell, the pain stays for quite a while aswell which is annoying as hell. Any suggestions?

fractured something? Once when I woke up the same thing happened in my right leg, turns out i fractured something but it was very small. Happened twice after that but i never told my parents since they would make a big deal out of it. I suggest u lay down for a while, take it easy.

I've never put ice on anything in my whole life lol. I think it doesn't help me at all anyway, but I'll try it now. Thanks!

Same here, they freak out aswell. I've slept for an hour or two and it got even worse. Thanks for your suggestion, though!

walk it off, ull get use to the pain

You're doing something in your sleep to get your ankle stuck, which can cause tendinitis in the ankles or it could also be a shin splint from a microscopic fracture from the former, either way take an anti-inflammatory and ice it, don't over-exert your legs or ankle for awhile neither and wrap it. With the ice do fifteen minutes on, fifteen off for at least two hours then wrap it.

It stops the swelling/bruising, or atleast helps. Do the 10/5 thing, keep it on for 10 minutes and take it off for five. Then repeat for about half an hour to an hour. It also numbs the pain as said by pika.
