It's meaningless to post a thread like that here. Part of a minority of who knew who MCA was and what Beastie Boys is. Most people are too young to even remember when a Beastie Boys song came out.

To those that don't know,

The Beastie boys have been around for like 33 years and were really the first rap group to break racial boundaries pertaining to rap just being a strictly black form of music. MCA was actually a really legit dude, and donated all kinds of money to liberate Tibet. The Dalai Lama actually expressed his condolences over this loss.

Never heard any of his songs, knew that he was a good person tho, friend did a project on him.
Wasn't just this adam kid though,he did the whole group/band whatever.

Well that's really not up to me to say. Music is an art, so it really depends on what your preferences are.
I like the Beastie Boys..they were different. They never really personified themselves as thugs,
For the most part their music was fun, the great thing about them is that they kept it real.
They didn't really change drastically with the industry, they always had this old school feel to them.
