Looks like a cheap setup from Walmart/Kmart .
A good board will run you up to $60-$120. If your footsize is under 10 mens (US) i recommend a 7 1/2 size deck.
If you're above 10 mens (US) you should try getting the feel of a size 8 deck.

The best way to learn to skate is to get the hell outside and do it. Youtube can only give you tips, not the determination or pride of doing and completing tricks. Another great factor for improvement is to skate with better skaters; the exposure of their skills will rub off on you and you'll excel faster than doing it alone (most cases). Start off with getting the feel of riding; then work on Ollies (maybe nollies too). branch out to whatever you find more comfortable; vert or street.

Foundation, Plan B, Zero were my favorites that I went through, and my foundation deck was my favorite. Since 2007, my setup has been the same, I barely skate (around 1-6 times every 2 months) depending on how busy I am. Destructo trucks, STF Bones Swiss wheels, Speed Demon bearings, but went through a Zero deck, then Plan B, then Foundation and now i've got a Western Edition it's aight.
