RSPS On dedicated Linux server? / Can't seem to load clients

Hey guys,

I'm looking to start up a RSPS on my dedicated Linux server, but none of the sources I have tried will boot properly. They do locally but not on the server... Can anyone recommend me a good one or point out what I'm doing wrong?

Also, I can't get any clients to work... They usually just freeze out, or one just sits on "updating 1%" The ONLY client I got to work was the blank one in the downloads section here - I got that server up locally and logged in (as I have done with others) and will try getting it on my server next.


Only requests for server/client builds:
- Fairly recent, something 600+, would be preferable. As an absolute minimum, quests and NPCs (including enemies) are a must.
- As little modded as possible. I want to change the stuff myself, not have to filter through things someone else already changed. I'm fine if the only working ones are modded, just I'd rather have something clean to work with if possible.

Also, installing dind't work on the dedicated server. I made a startup script but it can't find a couple of things:

./start.sh: line 1: ./jython.jar: No such file or directory
./start.sh: line 1: ./MySql/mysql-connector-java-3.0.17-ga-bin.jar: No such file or directory

I don't blame it, I can't find them either

Well now I feel like an idiot, I assumed it was already installed and completely forgot about that! Just trying to find a version that actually works with my server now. Care to recommend a specific version or should I just go for latest (I hear some sources don't like JDK 7?)

It was on my computer, jsut saw you asked in general. Yeah had it on computer but not on the server.

OK, its installed to both computer and server. Still the same error..
