Is it a good gaming rig?
Can it run BF3 on maximum settings with constant +30 FPS?
How long before the rig would start to show age?
Is it worth the money?

Unless you REALLY don't know how to, I would recommend that you buy parts and build your own computer. You can re-use your old case, probably power supply, maybe hard drive. So overall you can get something WAY better for a lot cheaper.
If you do want to do this, try newegg.com. You can find some pretty cheap stuff there.
for gaming is good
lol ati cards sucks
Yeah, it's a good buy.
I agree, not only are nVidia cards simply just better but ATI cards ALWAYS gave me issues, be it with drivers, or just straight out performance (like crashing or not doing as good as their nVidia counterparts).
nVidia has never failed on me and their cards have always treated me good. :P
I've actually had many of both during the years. I also had ATI first. My nVidia cards have NEVER had any issues. My ATI have ALWAYS had issues. Not to mention that nVidia cards simply out perform ATI cards.
I said all this in my first statement, it seems you just can't read. Keep making assumptions about me though. ^_^
Oh, P.S: I still like ATI as a company though, they've given me some of the greatest moments of my childhood with the Gamecube (and even the Wii).
