Combat level formula in the update

The new combat level formula is 2 + defence + (strength, range, attack, or magic)(whichever is highest).
Prayer, hitpoints(constitution), and summoning have been completely removed from the formula.
This means pures may still be effective in pvp, right?
They'll have higher combat levels, but so will everyone else, and with prayer, summoning, and hitpoints out of the formula, you could make an extremely powerful account couldn't you?
99 prayer, constitution, and summoning = level 4 combat.
^ with 99 in any or all combat skills, excluding defense, would be level 102, which is roughly the equivalent of a level 80 or 90 now, which is approximately what a maxed pure would be at right now. So not much is actually changing in that regard, right?

Armor after the update offers lifepoint bonuses, so a summoning/prayer/defense pure with dragon or barrows will have around 10k lifepoints and a low combat level with high defensive and offensive capabilities. Meh, I don't know why I'm ranting, but what is Jagex actually accomplishing with this update? Just freshening the content to sell to more twelve year-olds?

well, the combat formula seems kinda pointless, but i guess they're added new graphics and stances and stuff...i dunno what to think of it, it looks like it would cause 10x more lag than it already does
