In my experience every forum that has one of these GFX sections sooner or later develops a GFX market. Usually, a forum starts out with a humble gfx section, people are still inexperienced and have as main objective to learn. The second stage is when there are enough skilled people that assigning and completing requests becomes common. Often this will be in return for some sort of forum currency (tools, programs, "rep"). The third stage is when there are so many people on a moderate level that they start asking money for their service. This is almost inevitable because the great majority of skilled designers simply doesn't have the time to complete trivial requests for free.

Anyway, I was just wondering how common it is on MPGH to offer money in return for design services. Anyone who can clarify?

We've been the main members of this section for a solid 3 years now. If it hasn't happened yet, I doubt it will soon.

It's not gonna happen really i have seen some people actually ask for money though and other offer money too but still. No.

In fact I haven't seen this happen ever. I've been to like a hundred Spanish GFX sites and none of them do this. The closest I've found is trading it for forum points.
