I can't speak for all of MPGH, but my policy is that if someone requests HELP with something, I try and post useful responses. My logic for not helping people who just ask for hacks goes something like this:

If I ever ran across someone who was asking for a private hack I happen to own and am permitted to redistribute to random people, I would consider uploading it.
Although I agree, the flaming in this part of MPGH is a little excessive at times.
