Can certain hacks really ban you, instantly?

Well, I've pretty much used all of the big hacks recently(Shadow's, Glycerine) and after using this hack:

I was banned that night. I was just curious, as to whether Nexon can seriously detect a hack, and ban an account because of it.

They detect Strings and MD5 Hash's of the hacks.

But I don't think they're banning the account right away on detection of that, otherwise you would probably be banned instantly.

You were probably caught and spotted using a hack.

to be honest, i have often wondered this same thing. I used an account with black cipher for 2 months.. never banned. after picking up nightmare's once, it was goooone. just made me think. is this possible? but i never asked the question specifically because i thought it may be sheer coincidence. maybe not though? is there anyone savy in coding enough to give a definite specific answer?

During that time, Nexon wasn't avidly banning users.

In this recent year, Nexon has started to ban many more users frequently. I really doubt that they're banning based on detection of the hacks.

If they are detecting usage of hacks, it would be in Nexon's best interest to not let the user into the game from the start (Crash).

But, at that same time, I can count 3 other accounts of mine that were banned right off hand while using other hacks. Still could be a coincidence, I'm just saying it seems fishy.

I just tried using a couple hacks today after taking a few months off. Just tried logging on to my 2nd acct. BAN! BAN!! It appears even though the hacks never worked for me, we'll the D3D didn't show up... The hack was detected anyway. Go figure, I'm not complaining, just letting ya know what happened to me.
