What exactly is a keylogger?

I've been seeing it everywhere in tis forum and im just wondering wat it is... (yes im a noob and im proud to be 1?!?! O_O)

It, essentially, tracks your keystrokes. Even better, I could say it logs them.

So yeah, it gathers what you type...

its an old school virus implementation that steals keystrokes and logs them to a txt file or a type of log file which the person who made it can access. if you fear you have one. type random words whenever you log into an account somewhere. or better yet get good spyware/ antivirus removers... or even a anti keylogger... also if you have

the hotkeyshook.dll. its a gnarly one

lets just say u DONT want one, it can get anything from your computer

your passwords, your websites visited, videos and screenshts of your times browsing the computer, AND it records your key storkes in order and how fast you typed them


they can even get credit/debit card info from you, delete/read your import e-mails and files and worst of all

Anti-virusus dont usually pick up a good keylogger
