Why does it take so long to install and patch textures

Why does it take so freakin long to patch and install textures like 1 year ago you could finish a patch or installation in 3 minutes but now it takes like 10 because of the textures.

Is it because they double layerd the walls

wooot first to reply lol, anyways lets cut to the chase... i think its because they need more protection from hackers and since every hack has chams (well im talking about every public hack from a hacking community) not the mini hacks that are made by random people (mostly trainers) textures can block people from coding the chams. Also i saw on another website (i think it was *********.net) they actually released a texture hack (doesnt really do anything) well it was more of a editing thing not a hack
