2. Having him use his ultimate jutsu on him not leaving a scratch.
3. Requesting help from the only person who beat him.
4. Finding out that the only way to beat him is to turn his attacks against him.

The dude was literally indestructible, hell, we could argue one of the strongest in the show in terms of raw strength (if not the strongest) and Naruto beat him with skill and precision. And he figured out how to get him on his own, all the 8 tails told him was that they both passed out and after that fight he had a mark on his chest, to figure the strategy out from that is actually really smart.

And all the other attacks don't matter since they didn't even leave a scratch, that's like saying "they threw a kunai at him, and he dodged it, THEY HELPED SO MUCH!"
