My current setup is missing a video card im running a
core i7 2600k
16 gigs ram
and a 1000w supply so power is not a problem
my only question is should i get a gtx 680 or crossfire two Radeon HD 7850 2 gigs?
my budgets about $500 any help would be appreciated

Crossfire is useless for gaming......
Go for the 680, a single card is always better if you can avoid SLI/Crossfire.
Dual's usually have lots of driver issues.
