I just realized how unhelpful my post was -.-
C.E. hacks just change the data stored in your RAM, thus it's not illegal.
The CE co-op hacks were made possible again all thanks to DeathL hack. What that hack does is make the Co-op rooms start as client sided, like before, and not server sided. Seems when they patched it, they didn't do it so well.
All hacks are illegal, but the thing that can make you got to jail or get you sued is hacking to their server. CE hacks and packet hacks are client sided.
Hacking the server means exploiting a security hole in their website software related to the accounts system.
Although, packet hacks is a bit more dangerous and could led you to ban more fast since there are things that can be detected if you used packets. Like if you sent a lot of packets in a short period of time. Or packets that the server can't read and such.

Even familiar landscapes will
reveal a different kind of beauty
if you change your viewpoint.
Where these new encounters
and new bonds will lead you...
Such dazzling golden days.
I, too, look forward to
what I might behold.
