holland/finland/Belgium/france/germany/etc aren't as powerfull as america , yet the citizens have better lifes (financially) .

I Believe the government should do everything to give there residents everything they need and not go spend there money on wars in other countries or on drug wars that don't change anything .

America spent 4.7% GDP in 2010. My problem with military spending is when trillions go towards fruitless campaigns like Iraq, instead of doing everything possible that our soldiers get the best equipment and are safe as possible.

The ENTIRE rest of the world deals with conversions like that every day when they have to look at data collected\calculated in the USA. I am sure the US can manage the very needed change in their educational system and measurements system. The UK did when they shifted.
