[Tutorial]How to edit weapons

[CENTER]Tools u need :
A brain
A pair of eyes
Your hands
A keyboard
A mouse

Things you need to do before editing:
BackUp ur whole BS folder
Create an empty folder(You need to store files you're editing here so you won't get confused)

Path you will be accessing:
C:\VertigoGames\VertigoGames\Game\BlackShot\Blacks hot\Data\Item
(this where all the weapon files are)

C:\VertigoGames\VertigoGames\Game\BlackShot\Blacks hot\Data\Character\HandAni[this is where the hand animations are (the way you withdraw,reload,shoot and idle)]

C:\VertigoGames\Game\BlackShot\Blackshot\Data\Soun d\weapons
(this is where the sounds of the weapons are)

Steps:
1) Go to C:\VertigoGames\VertigoGames\Game\BlackShot\Blacks hot\Data\Item (you will see alot of weapon files here)

2) Lets edit Ak74 camo (but it is named _j so i'll call it jungle =)) as a tutorial. Find all ak47_j files (in other words, this is ak47 jungle..nz is the special weapons)

3) There will be 6 files. Copy these to the empty folder you created. YOU MUST COPY NOT CUT IT. THESE FILES MUST REMAIN INSIDE
ak47_j.kf
ak47_j.kfm
ak47_j.nif
ak47_j.settings
ak47_j_3ps.nif
ak47_j_Anim.h

4) Rename all these 6 to be like normal ak47. Just by removing _j from all. For cheytac edit is rename cheytac to AWP
ak47_j.kf > ak47.kf
ak47_j.kfm > ak47.kfm
ak47_j.nif > ak47.nif
ak47_j.settings> ak47.settings
ak47_j_3ps.nif > ak47_3ps.nif
ak47_j_Anim.h > ak47_Anim.h

5) After you rename, copy and paste to replace all these files into C:\VertigoGames\VertigoGames\Game\BlackShot\Blacks hot\Data\Item

===== You've finish editing weapon appearance========================

Now for animation

6) Go to C:\VertigoGames\VertigoGames\Game\BlackShot\Blacks hot\Data\Character\HandAni[this is where the hand animations are]

7) You will find alot of male_hand*blah blah* files inside.

8) This is where you need your eyes. Search for ak47j.
These are the files. Copy to the folder you created for editing files (there are 4 for ak47j):
YOU MUST COPY NOT CUT IT. THESE FILES MUST REMAIN INSIDE

MaleHand_ak47_j.kf
MaleHand_ak47_j.kfm
MaleHand_ak47_j.nif
MaleHand_ak47_j.settings

9) Rename to these by removing the j (j means jungle duh):
MaleHand_ak47_j.kf > MaleHand_ak47.kf
MaleHand_ak47_j.kfm > MaleHand_ak47.kfm
MaleHand_ak47_j.nif > MaleHand_ak47.nif
MaleHand_ak47_j.settings> MaleHand_ak47.settings

10) After you rename, copy and paste to replace all these files into C:\VertigoGames\VertigoGames\Game\BlackShot\Blacks hot\Data\Character\HandAni

Now for sounds

11) This is gonna be short..since you know ak47 and ak47 jungle sound are the same..but i'm going to teach you how to replace awp sounds with cheytac sounds.

12) Go to C:\VertigoGames\Game\BlackShot\Blackshot\Data\Soun d\weapons
(this is where the sounds of the weapons are)

13) You will see weapon folders here...Search for chytac..it means cheytac...

14) Copy the WHOLE folder to the folder for editing files.
YOU MUST COPY NOT CUT IT. THESE FOLDERS AND FILES MUST REMAIN INSIDE

15) Rename the folder name from chytac to awp

16) Then, Open the folder and rename all chytac to awp...
For example:
chytac_clipout.wav > awp_clipout.wav
I know there is missing one file in chytac which is clipin in awp folder...But its ok..

17) After you rename, copy and paste to replace all these files into U]C:\VertigoGames\Game\BlackShot\Blackshot\Data\Soun d\weapons[/U]

Now you are done. If your game stuck at loading weapons object means you did something wrong..
