Nobody wants to be scammed, Not saying you are but, you said no middleman which is a automatic indicator that something isn't right if he doesn't want a middleman, and if you don't trust some other middleman, get a mod here on the site that will do it for you. These are what people are seeing, not $900 of in-game stuff that can possibly be recovered.
