If you have a laptop you may want to plug-in yur laptop and put it in high-performance. For others..get faster internet.
I know we have a lot of people in here who lag on CA.
I myself lag at times.
There are a few ways to help it.
Go onto your settings and turn everything unnecessary off and turn everything to low.
Also, move your TEXTURES.rez out of the "Game" folder.
Anymore things we can do to "fight" lag?

He means FPS lag, not internet lag.
And not really... If you have a graphics card, install your latest drivers from your respected sites, and make sure you have the Control Center installed.
Go into the Control Center and turn everything right down. Helps out ALOT with frame spikes.
I haven't been on here in 4 years...
1. Buy 2 GB of Ram. It's not that expensive. I just got mine 2 weeks ago for 25.99 at Frys and it really decreased my lag.
2. Buy a new video card with at LEAST 256mb of video memory if your computer doesn't already have it. To check how much video memory you have download CCleaner and check.
3. Use Disk Defragmenter + Disk Cleanup. It decreases like %20 of the lag occassionally.
4. Moving the Textures.rez out of your Game folder will just screw your gameplay. It would be useful in some maps, but maps like Junk Flea, Snow Valley, Grey Hammer, and Rattlesnake would be challenging without the Textures.rez in there.
I'm going to run disk cleanup in a second here.
What programs should I download to check my videocard memory and what not?

Download CCleaner.
When you open it it should look like this:

Black- Operating System
Yellow- Processor and Processor Speed
Blue- Amount of RAM
Red- Your Video Card and how much memory it has.
EDIT: CCleaner is a better alternative than Disk Defragmenter. It reduces the lag on CA by a lot if you have unused stuff in your computer. It could clear up to 4 gigs of disk space in 1 run.
Yes, this will help me and this crappy computer play ca without any lagg then i can use zdrecorder again with hacks and it will still respond.
thanks for futre refrences
