    If I am banned on MW3 and buy BO2 on the same steam account, will I be banned on BO2?

    title says it all

    will i have to make a new steam account and preorder BO2 on that account?

    No, Bans on MW3 only affect MW3. You can still play BO2 or any other CoD game on the same account.
