Dude fking "screamo" isn't even a real word no dictionary will credit it as a real word, it was made by emo kids. That is the truth about it, if you don't believe me look it up. Hell there was even a time where the music industry thought about removing screamo as a genre completely. Know your facts before you say sht.

basic hardcore elements are ******ry (in terms, when used by "emo" bands)
and thats about to it...

Post-hardcore, post-punk~punk-hardcore.. they all influenced.. screamo and made what it is today...
well screamo is just emo kids trying to do something of there own, and its somewhat interesting what they have done to the whole genre
when it comes down to it, every one has a weird taste in music, to some extent..
