Standalone will use Steam VAC

You guys dont know anything about VAC. First: if you get banned, lets say in CSS for hacking, only The GAME ENGINE gets banned since css uses hl2 all games that you own that runs the hl2 engine gets banned. If you get caught using hacks in Dayz ONLY dayz will be banned from your acc since there are no other games in steam that use the engine besided Arma 2 it self. And if you get banned in dayz you just have to create another steam acc with a new dayz key

I'm pretty happy about VAC

I Only started hacking because I was pissed off losing my gear to hackers, Then just carried on because I felt it was boring to play dayz without hacks haha.

Ok so according to this report stand alone with use Steam's VAC system. Value Anti-Cheat System

I would imagine this will mean move away from battleye?

If anyone with some actual knowledge on such matters would like to chip in how this might affect us that would be great

VaC Never updates
and you can hack forever.

BE updates quite a bit.
