Hello! My laptop seems to have died, its an old Acer T4300 with GMA4500, already out of warranty.
When I woke up, It just wont turn on, the power light would go on for just about half a second and then die. Thinking that the battery might empty, I plugged it in the charger and I noticed that it sparked a lot when plugging it on the socket in the laptop. I let it stay for about 10 minutes and tried to turn it on again, and it still wont turn on.
Then a burnt smell started coming out from the air vents. when I tried to open it (at least the part with the HDD and memory, one of the memory sticks has a black spot (looks like burnt). And when I removed the memory stick, it still wont turn on.
I can try and drive to the city and find a laptop repair place, or should I consider it dead and non-salvagable. Thanks!
