Stolen cd key to play arma 2 oa

Hello. My friend gave me a stolen cd key in hex format. I used darky cd key changer to change it. I can play dayz via dayz commander but i cant play arma 2 oa through steam with the cd key. It keeps reverting to the old cd key. Any solution for this would be greatly ly appreciated. Thank you

If your using steam and want to Disable steam from updating your CD Key. (If you've used the CD Key Changer.)

1. Goto start and search 'regedit'

2. Navigate to, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bohemia Interactive Studio\Arma 2 OA

3. Right click the folder go to 'Permissions'

4. Click on advanced

5. Go to administrators and click edit

6. Find 'Set Value' and check the box 'deny' and accept changes

Next time you run arma 2 through steam the CD Key will not update.
