How do you fix: "You don't have permission to open this file" error?

On vista and probably about half the files seem to give this error(below).
Maybe it's that I'm on vista. Heard that it was possibly AVG so turned that off bu it still didn't work. I beleive that quite a few people have this problem so figure would be a topic to make. So, if you know what to do to fix this error...then..post it!

Found out how. Have to turn of AVG Resident Shield.

Different problem. Was already running as admin. Found out how to fix though, just disable avg.

You should try getting something different. ^^ And not NORTON, I had both once upon a time and they would constantly delete random sh*t off my computer. It pissed me off so much, now I have Avast! its alot better, and only takes 1 click to disable it if I have too.
So far I haven't had a problem with it.

i run avg, avast, ad-aware. just uninstaled avg from my wifes laptop cuz of vista. AVG dosent seem to work wel with vista, Avast is the best.

rofl All you do is------> Right click then click On =(Run as Administrator)= and a box will pop up and then press allow THANK ME ITS FREE

NORTON?!?!?! Dude..that program is a virus in itself....
And, to disable AVG, right click the tray icon, and choose
Open AVG user interface, then you double click resident shield.
And then disable "Resident Shield active" and Save changes..like naw...(see below)
and you're good!
