legalizing pot would lower it's price and restrict it's consumption from minors (same as tobacco or alcohol).

I think it should be legalized, sort of. I think the medical use legalization is stupid. What I think would be most profitable and effective would be to have it legal in certain communities. For example, New York state; if pot were legal in 1 town in Manhattan that could make it very profitable for NYC, or if Manhattan didn't want to do it, Brooklyn could, if Brooklyn didn't want to, then a coastal town on Long Island could. It would become a vacation destination for potheads and artsy types over night.

It won't really affect me at all, since I have made a personal decision to never use it. However, the drug may not be bad itself, but the people and the lifestyle that surround the drug are the issue.

Umm.. i smoke it every day and i go to school, get AWESOME grades, and i don't bother anyone who doesnt use it. I dont think im an idiot. And the people who you are calling idiots only choose that lifestyle because its a way to make a shit ton of money. They start to get into it more and more and it gets them into trouble and sometimes forces them to move on to other shit... People who have NOT been in the trade or have never been involved in something like it would simply never understand until they have been. My idea is that nobody should have to be put into a situation like that ever, so just DECRIMINALIZE it. its that simple... Nobody would get hurt, free up space in jail/prison, and a lot more people would be happy.
