Making it legal means it can be taxed. Our goverment needs the money, and it's just FAR too much to not atleast let the American people decide on. We've got too many good people sitting behind bars, and waisting not only their lifes, but our tax dollars as well.

I don't really see any importance in this topic, it's extremely easy to get hold of
weed, since I've done it before, hung with friends for a semester doing it nearly daily, as well as figuring out that it was pointless. I'm not sure about males, but for me as a girl, I got tired of it within that semester. Whether it's legal or not doesn't really matter, people are still getting their hands on it as if it's a common drug. The only thing about legalizing marijuana is that the government will use it to make a profit by taxing people, restricting it down to a few certain species, etc..

Sadly, that's already the case in my county. There are middle schoolers and high school students coming to school high, selling it at school, and smoking it at school.

Marijuana effects everyone differently. some makes them lazy and mellow. gives some ppl energy. plus it isnt addictive like tobacco.
ive smoked on and off for 2 yrs. not once gone through any kinda withdrawl. my lungs are still perfect and my life inst falling apart around me lol.
Marijuana is 100x more safer then alcohol or tobbacco imo.

Here's a big problem, hemp is a stronger fiber than other stuff like cotton or polyester. Something made from hemp would last much longer and so would sell less quantity meaning less money revolves around it. In a society that encourages the creation of jobs instead of maintaining actual wealth, like products that last and sustainability, getting hemp legalized will continue to be a struggle but it's happening, slowly but surely. There would be more jobs for everybody if people worked less hours for the same relative pay, if our economic structures were set up with that as the goal instead of creating jobs we would be much better off in the long run.
